Industry and industrial business are starting to make a comeback in the United States. Michigan alone is seeing a boom in mining, farming, lumber and other industry. But with this boom comes a host of new challenges. Challenges, like protecting the safety of employees and community members. This is the tireless responsibility of the safety department, but what happens if an incident does happen? That is where Rural IC LLC comes in! We provide advanced training for staff and community responders to be prepared for industrial specific emergencies.
Services
Safety Shares
- Monthly Safety Shares (FREE): Each month in the free section we will (try very very hard to) post a new Safety Share in the Free Stuff section of this website. These Safety Shares can be distributed to your staff to keep the topic of safety on everyone's mind.
- Beyond Monthly Safety Shares: Want to go beyond what we offer for free? We can design site specific Safety Shares, Weekly Safety Shares, or format them to your company's specifications and needs.
Emergency Plans
- Good response to an emergency doesn't happen by accident. It takes careful and complete planning and preparing. This takes time, but in an emergency when seconds mean the difference between life and death, having a plan can make all the difference.
Response Plan Testing
- A plan is just a sheet of paper that was created by people sitting behind desks. The only way to see if the plan is going to work is to put it to the test. Our goal when we test a Response Plan is to mimic real-life settings as much as possible while still protecting the life and safety of those involved in the test.
Site Response Team Training
- Is your company ready to have a medical response team ready to go at a moments notice? We offer a wide range of training and even licensing options through the state of Michigan. Everything from simple first-aid and CPR training to licensed Michigan Emergency Medical Responders. If you already have a team but want them to have advanced and specific training in industrial medicine topics, we can help with that too.
Training Community Responders
- Many industrial medical emergency topics are simply not covered in the core education for EMS members. In an industrial environment, the rules can change when it comes to scene safety and medical treatment. We provide local responders further education in a wide array of industrial emergency topics and even assist with setting up safety walk-throughs so responders are familiarized with the location of hazards, safety devices, and on-site rescue equipment.
Setting Up Response and First Aid Stations
- You have to start somewhere and we can help you set that up. We can advise you about what supplies are essential to have on hand, train your staff on how to use them, and even help you maintain them.
